I'm Moving to Tennesee!

So let's start off with a big announcement:

I'm moving to Knoxville, Tennessee (from metro Detroit)!

In two weeks!

OMG!

I wanted to warn you guys that I might be a little lax in my blogging duties, but I will do my best to keep up with the madness.

I'm feeling kind of crazy about it - you know, excited for the adventure, sad to leave my family and friends behind.  But I have to view it as that - an adventure!  I can always come back if I want!  Not to mention I'd kick myself in the pants for not doing it.

Here are some photos from our most recent trip:

Downtown Knoxville at The French Market - seriously, the best crepes this side of the Atlantic

No really they are sooo good

In Cade's Cove, an historic settlement of farmers who lived here in the 1800s - now owned by Smoky Mountain National Park

Some waterfalls in the Smokies

An old fashioned candy store in the tourist trap central that is Gatlinburg, TN

A definite must-go: Coolato Gelato (millions of ice cream shops but how many gelato joints do you know?)

A view of Neyland Stadium where the University of Tennessee plays

Found this ah-mazing scrapbooking store in Sevierville - very hard to contain myself

Strangely, a scrapbooking clearance store right next door to it, but they had closed an hour before we got there :-(  Not to worry as soon as everything's unpacked this will be my first stop

Hope you will put up with me over the next couple of weeks.  Thanks for joining the ride!

  3. Welcome! I hope you'll grow to love Tennessee as much as I do. I'm just an hour away from Knoxville & visit there every couple of months to 'go thrifting' with a friend!

    Hi Angie,

Sorry so late in commenting, I've been so busy with the move! I have been here a week, and everything is settled for the most part. I would love to go thrifting with you sometime! Let me know when you're in town, I'm sure you know all the great places to go :-)
