Happy first of Novemeber, hope everyone had a great Halloween!
I dislike Mondays as everyone else does, but there are two reasons I enjoy them.
The first is following the #crafterminds chat on Twitter at 4PM EST. Search the hashtag (#) then crafterminds to see the chat. I try to participate as much as I can, you can follow me @PearlGateway. The chats are all about crafting/blogging. www.crafterminds.com has a list of upcoming topics; check it out!
The second reason I like Mondays is because of the Mojo Monday sketch challenges. I know last week I talked about simplifying your card layout, but I really do enjoy more advanced layouts sometimes. But usually the problem is either not coming up with said layout, or wasting a lot of time thinking about if I do come up with something. Here's where Mojo Monday comes in: they provide a new sketch, and you enter your card in the challenge!
Here's this week's sketch from Mojo Monday 213:
So without further ado, here's my creation this week:
This sketch really was a 'challenge', as I'm waiting for a new blade for my die-cutter, so all the circles were done by hand the old school way - tracing the bottom of jars!! This color palette is kind of unique, and I like how it turned out. I used McGill Geranium, Small Geranium, and Birch Leaf paper flower punches to make the pansies. I decorated them with Glitz Stickles in Grape, and Liquid Pearls in Cantaloupe. Cute, no?
If you're stopping over from Mojo Monday for the first time and like what you see, I'd love if you became a follower!
Thanks for stopping by today, I've got some fun things coming so stay tuned!
