Sisters in Christ Challenge #113

Happy Friday y'all!  I found a new challenge, well actually a new blog in general!  It's called Stampin' Sisters in Christ and they have a challenge going on this week based on this Bible verse:

Isaiah 1:18 "'Come now, and let us reason together,’ says the Lord. ‘Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.’”

So the challenge is to create a card using fall colors: crimson, orange, gold, etc.

So here's my creation:

I am loving how it turned out!  I went with the crimson color because I really felt inspired from it.  Crimson makes a great bi-seasonal color because you can use it in Fall and Winter (Christmas) decor.  I started with the base, then added the rose paper and white deckled border to the bottom.  I cut out some music - which is actually "Joy to the World"! and added Barn Door and Fired Brick Distress Inks.  I created a decadent rose using McGill's floral paper punches, and added a touch of Glitz Stickles in Ruby Slippers.  I added a felt circle (great texture!) - to represent the wool - then added a tag and some chipboard letters J-O-Y with some more Ruby Slippers on them.  "Joy to the World" added to the bottom to complete.

Here's some close ups:

I love all the layers!

Isn't that rose fabulous? Ruby Slippers was the perfect Stickles match!

I'm so happy I came across the Stampin' Sisters in Christ!  I can't wait to join some more of their challenges.  What do you think of the card?
