Today some friends of mine are getting married so I made this wedding card for them.
Starting with a palette of creamy yellow and lavender, I ran some cardstock through my Texture Boutique with a Cuttlebug embossing folder called Divine Swirls. I inked it up to bring out the pattern using Dusty Concord Distress Ink. I took one of the sticky back canvases I bought for my Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry class and stamped a Stampers Anonymous background on it in Old Paper Distress Ink, and brushing Old Paper and Dusty Concord on the sides before adhering. I wrapped an off white satin ribbon around both pieces and adhered to my main light lemon card. Using some McGill punches, I created the pansy. I dabbed 3 shades of purple Liquid Pearls around, and finished with a Hero Arts sentiment, ‘so happy for you’ (CL272 is a must have set).
Some close-ups of that canvas – this stuff will now be a staple for sure!
A close-up of the flower – it’s got Liquid Pearls and Smooch Ink on top of more Dusty Concord.
Congratulations Nicki and Gregory, I’m “so happy for you”!!
