If you just can’t get enough of SNAP! Recap, here’s one more to satisfy your cravings -
(and why you should go next year!)
After registration on Thursday, this was the main area where the sponsors’ booths were located. Great spot to mix and mingle.

Our first session quickly got underway. I would soon learn how difficult it would be choosing different sessions. For the 1PM I chose Oh SNAP!, A class hosted by Photo by Emilie. We earned so much, I took 3 pages of notes! The other classes were Blogging Basics, and Writing SEO Content that works. Can you see how hard these decisions were right off the bat?
Our welcome dinner was hosted in the Show Barn, a large structure on the Thanksgiving Point Campus. Like true DIYers, all the decoration was done by the ‘SNAPettes’!
Our dinner that night – it was fabulous! All the food we had the whole time was outstanding. If you’ve ever been to many conferences, you know this is a difficult feat.
Let’s not forget dessert – scrumptious fondue sponsored by Velata.
The SNAPettes in all their glory! Thanks for all you did to make this event such a success.
After breakfast at the hotel, we made it to the 9AM You’re So Invited session by Cheryl of Cheryl Style.
10:30 AM was another hard choice of Dimension, Pattern, and Texture = Style, Happy Chaos: Turning Your Passion into a Business, and Party Planning on a Budget. I took the first option, with a panel hosted by Cynthia of Utah Garden Blogs, Kirsten of Kirsten Krason Interiors, and Beth of Home Stories A 2 Z. They discussed topics of inside decorating with natural elements, how to mix and match patterns with fabric, and designing vignettes within the home.

I managed to miss a couple photo ops from the earlier sessions – at 1:30 on Friday I took Ready, Steady, Shoot: How to Create Great Video with Roger Sherman of Ready Steady Shoot. My other options were Inside a Thriving Creative Business: the Turning Point or How to Get Noticed in a Crowded Field. I wanted to take all three of these! At 3:30 I took Beginning Photoshop Elements with Amanda of Everyday Elements. The other options were a make-n-takes of either a feathered pouch or using fragrance to create the perfect space. This shot is of “Girls’ Night Out at The Queen Bee Market.

Saturday morning was off to a great start with a panel on The Power of Personal on a DIY Site, featuring Beckie from Infarrantly Creative, Rhoda from Southern Hospitality, Char from Crap I’ve Made, and Traci from Beneath My Heart. I missed the other 9AM sessions: From Blog to Book, and Trend Spotting: What’s New, What’s Next?.
Another missed photo op at the 10:30AM sessions at Discovering and Defining Your Style. What an amazing panel featuring Ana White, Shelly from House of Smiths, Emily from Décor Chick, and Kate from Centsational Girl. Other sessions included Blogging for Good and Creative Collaborations. The shot above was taken from The Epic Guide to DIY Survival, with a panel featuring Brittany from Pretty Handy Girl, Sausha Khoundet of Sweet Pickins, and Stacey from Not Just a Housewife. Other sessions available were a make-n-take of Creating Floral Arrangements, and Legal Matters.

Speaker Matt Townsend at our Saturday night dinner. If Steve Carrell were a Mormon with six kids and an expert on relationships – it would be this guy right here.
A super fun dance party to wrap up an amazing conference!
