Today I had a bit of fun experimenting with 3 different kinds of ink: Tim Holtz Distress Re-inkers, Tim Holtz Distress Ink, and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mists. Just playing around and letting creativity take over!
I really wanted to crack open my new set of Graphic 45 stamps, from their Winter CHA collection called Old Curiosity Shoppe. I really like these cling stamps because those labels are interchangeable; you can stamp the bottle then stamp whatever label you want inside. Or you can stamp the bottle, and leave it blank, or write whatever you want with other stamps or your own handwriting inside. And the labels can of course be used on other stamps – all in all, a very versatile set!
I put a couple drops of Tim Holtz Distress Re-Inker in Worn Lipstick, Tumbled Glass, and Mustard Seed. Never would have guessed those colors, wouldja? Simply add a drop of water to a brush (or use a water-brush), and paint away! Love the water coloring, so relaxing to do and such an attractive look.
Here’s a close-up of all that fun ink, check out the water flick spots above.
This was done with a quick emboss of a Hero Arts stamp, then all types of inky fun took place. Worn Lipstick, Bundled Sage, Peeled Paint, Ripe Persimmon, Broken China, Stormy Sky, and Dusty Concord. Whew!
I spritzed a quick bit of gold iridescent Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist over top – the shimmer is incredible!
This card was so quick and easy! Several spritzes of Tattered Angels for the base, then a collection of summery images from a Stampin’ Up! set colored in Copics pull it together.
Look how all those colors merge together to create a really cool background!
