I am not really good at CAS {Clean-and-Simple} style cards, but decided to have a go. I was feeling inspired from Stampin’ Sisters in Christ new challenge – #149 {Matthew 11:30} and came up with two I like!
I started with a sheet of Authentique paper from the Gathering collection, and decided to run with the colors. I’m still not sure why I bought that 6x6 paper set, because overall it’s not something I gravitate to. But now seeing this particular paper with those shells – it’s a perfect sort of beachy scene! The shell is actually one mounted rubber stamp, inked in HA Soft Pool, and Jenni Bowlin in Brown Sugar and Chicken Feed. I layered the sentiment with all three ink colors which is something I never do but enjoy how it turned out.
Haha sorry to torture you guys – there’s that HA/SC stamp again! I was inspired from the card on Monday, so I water colored these with a drop of Mustard Seed and Worn Lipstick Distress Re-inker. I tried making this card with just the four main panels on white, and didn’t like it. I know so many who are successful with lots of white space, but it just isn’t me. Then I added the squares (from Bo-Bunny Ambrosia 6x6 collection) and popped up my originals on them. Still simple-esque, no?
You know what time it is – vote for your fave!
