This was one of my favorite days of Creative Chemistry, lots of fun to be had! Delving into crackle paint, stains, and dabber paint!
- Crackle Paint Resist Technique – very cool, you can get a lot of looks out of this one depending on which color of crackle paint you use. I can see this being useful for landscape scenes with old barns and fencing, distressed backgrounds, or really for anything that needs a good crackle.
- Paint Dabber Resist Technique – this one is one of my favorites too, I love this ghostly look that white paint gives on top of the stains. I don’t have any dabbers, so I just brushed on some white acrylic paint instead.
- Shattered Stains Technique – how many times can I say ‘cool’ in a post?? But for real you guys, this one is way cool. Crackle + Stains = really awesome look.
A close up of all that layered chippy goodness.
Check out that haze that the white paint leaves from it’s impression.
Tell me that this isn’t the coolest!
Thanks for checking out Day 8 – If you haven’t seen Day 7 you should definitely have a looky loo!
Which of these is your favorite?
