I’ve been really inspired by Simplicity by Susan Raihala lately…it’s so hard for me to make CAS/one layer cards and she does it with ease. I made these as an ode to fall and gratitude – and conveniently I learned about OLW#105 (One Layer Wednesday) to enter these in:
I accidentally stamped the middle one upside down – but another happy accident. I colored all of these with Distress Markers, and this is what I love, all the individuality of leaves. They don’t have nothing on God’s creations of course, but I think these look darn good for being stamps! A la Susan, I added a lovely sentiment, flanked by two spots of Stickles on either side.
Still in the mood to create a simple but pretty card, this is one stamp inked twice, with varying shades of Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Gathered Twigs, Ripe Persimmon, and Seedless Preserves). In this case I kinda like the splotchy effect – but in general I don’t like to use Distress Ink with Inkadinkado stamps. I don’t think their stamps are of high quality photo-polymer, and it really shows with dye inks that tend to pool on clear stamps.
Thanks for joining me this evening – stay tuned soon for some posts on home décor misadventures (and more card creations of course!). Pics to follow on Facebook, like my FB page for some sneak peeks!
