I had quite a bit of fun with these two cards, thanks for joining me today!
This is a Mojo Sketch, #260. I am so happy with how this turned out, love when a plan comes together! I had this idea in mind for an earth/world card. A start with inking the base in Salty Ocean Distress Ink (one of my favorites!) although a word to the wise, I’d recommend doing this on watercolor paper so it doesn’t warp your card base. The white strip was made by blotting some various DIs on the Ranger mat. The main sentiment piece is what brings it all together. Here’s the close-up:
I inked the background stamp from Hampton Arts with some HA Soft Pool Ink. It is a stamp with cities from around the world that repeat over a couple times. The Joy to the World stamp is Technique Tuesday/Ali Edwards inked in Mowed Lawn. I just thought I was so darn clever with this one!
This one was colored with Twinkling H20s and misted with water. I know some may think this is ugly, strange, or just plain bizarre. But I think of it as artsy and unique.
Besides, if you don’t like it, then bloody don’t buy it!!
(Can you tell I’ve been watching some interesting shows on BBC, namely Doctor Who??)
Here’s a close-up, if this is what the stupid camera picked up regarding shimmer, I hope you can imagine the sheen in person. Not Charlie of course, he’s a drunken drug addict, but the lovely shine on this card!
Ok now tell me the truth, do you like it, or is it ugly in your opinion? Or is the first more your cup o’ tea?
