Today I’ve got a tutorial on how to use Glitter Ritz + Sookwang Paper, featuring some fun little make n takes and a tutorial from my local scrap store, Scrappin in the City:
Fabulous backgrounds, courtesy of Impression Obsession! There are two backgrounds used here: a cloud and the bamboo. The cloud is stamped first, then the bamboo, and then the bamboo is flipped upside down and stamped again without re-inking. This is where I tried out Impression Obsessions Mega Mount, and I love it!
The center glitter piece is what was the make n take; I just adhered it to a card to make it useful. A close-up:
To make this floral design, start off with a piece of Sookwang sticky paper and coat it entirely in Glitter Ritz. I used “Warm Highlight”. Use your fingernail or the flat side of a scoring tool to burnish the glitter into the paper. This will virtually eliminate the glitter flaking off your finished project. Next carefully place a sticker with open area (these are Elizabeth Craft designs) directly onto your glittered sheet.
You will need 3 Copic markers for this: one red, one green, and the colorless blender. Brush (lightly!) the red Copic in the center of the flower, and quickly (and gently!) swipe the colorless blender over it, pulling it toward the edges of the petals. Do the same with the green. You will probably get a bit of glitter on your Copics, but don’t panic – just brush them on a scrap sheet of paper to get the glitter out.
I hope you’ve found this helpful – and maybe somewhat enabling Lots of fun, be sure to put them on your wish list – maybe you’ll see them under the tree??
