Had to squeeze this one in before the deadline, Mojo Monday # 272. This sketch came to my rescue because I had a request for 6 Christmas cards and I needed them fast, but still of the same high quality and commitment I have with all of my cards. She needed one for a 6 year old, one for a 15 year old, one more to a professional friend, and three to friends. The last one is perfect for the latest Young Crafters Unite Challenge #17 as well.
This one was fun for just a bit of Copic coloring, and the Liquid Pearls on the snowflakes are the perfect touch.
I didn’t realize this one was a bit blurry, but the color is so pretty in person. Stickles for a hint of glam.
This one is a bit off the sketch but still very much inspired by it. Crisp colors against black and white – love it!
A contender for favorite, and close to the sketch. I think it’s good for either a male or female recipient as well.
For the teenager, color scheme inspiration came from that strip of ribbon on the bottom. Two more glitter ribbons to ground the trees which are inked in Hero Arts Mid Tone Shadow Inks.
This one is my true favorite, and I had the idea for these adorable little candies in my mind all day, perfect for any kid’s card. They stamp is from My Cute Stamps, and I created stripes with some Copics. The ‘sweet’ came from a Fiskars set that says ‘life’s sweet’ so I just masked off the ‘life’s’ part. Same thing with the Christmas from a Technique Tuesday/Ali Edwards set, this had ‘Merry’ attached to it which I masked off as well. A strip of fun washi tape plays along with the candies.
A coat of Rock Candy (aptly named, no?) covers the candies to leave a perfect touch of glittery shine.
See how flexible one sketch can be? Thanks for the visit, don’t forget to vote for your fave!
