Happy Sunday friends – it’s a rainy one here, perfect day to pull out some stamps and tackle some challenges.  This one is inspired by CASology’s latest Cue Card which is “Furry”:

I started with an SSS exclusive stamp – you know I love my naughty Bostons and thought this would be perfect.  I really wanted “Furry” to stand out – this lil’ doggie has a shiny fur coat of flocking powder!  No idea why I went with a French theme, but definitely had a ball pulling it together.  The sentiment is PTI, and the little par avion markings are from another SSS set.  To get the background, I used Judikins masking tape (on the roll, although I hear that’s no longer available on the roll but it can be purchased in sheets).  Using some SC Mister Huey’s, I sprayed Navy and Peppermint with some drops of Opaque White in the middle.

Really simple to do, I probably spent most of my time getting that darn flocking powder to stay where I wanted it – which always serves as a reminder of why it doesn’t get used often.  I don’t really like working with glitter either, but give me some Stickles and I’m good to go.  Hey, now all I need is flocking powder in squeeze bottle form and I think we might be on to something!

Au revoir mes amies!
