Today brings a beautiful summer sunset, and the enjoyment of playing with some supplies that have been neglected for quite some time…Distress Inks! Color inspo thanks to PDCC#184:
Here’s my take:
A laundry list of inks here, my inspiration start came from Spiced Marmalade, Spun Sugar, and Dusty Concord. To blend and fill better, I also used Mustard Seed, Ripe Persimmon, Dried Marigold, Picked Raspberry, Seedless Preserved, Chipped Sapphire and Faded Jeans. The palm trees are hand drawn and colored in, the bottom was masked off and inked with Black Soot. Sentiment is TT/Ali Edwards.
The first photo doesn’t catch the sheen, and neither does this by comparison to real life. Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist is the best thing ever! If you don’t have some in at least Iridescent Gold, you should buy it. And if you don’t have Studio Calico Mister Huey’s Gold, you should get that too because it is a completely different formula and different type of gold.
Can you tell I’m a summer person? I really think that May/June are my favorite months. July/August/April tie for second place. March can have third. Anything ending in ‘ber’ or ‘ary’ is just not my cup of tea. Mmm…tea. I could go for a glass of ice cold sweet tea…gotta go, have a great day y’all!
