Happy Birthday America!

Very rarely do I have the coordination to put two or more challenges together, but this card has three!  Color thanks to ColourQ #196, sketch thanks to Mojo Monday #300, and stamps thanks to ABNH #27.  Enjoy!

And if you are my mom, do NOT scroll down as this card may or may not be for your birthday. ^_^

<3 Happy Birthday Mom <3

Also as the colors are rather patriotic, Happy Birthday America – Yay for Independence Day!

I started off with this stamp by Hero Arts, and stamped it on to this super cute mustard-y yellow with hearts paper by Dear Lizzy – Lucky Charm collection.  I layered the papers until I liked the result, and added some sequins from Studio Calico’s Atlantic Collection.  The sentiment is also Hero Arts, and the sides are finished in Burgundy Stickles (the middle of the flower has Midnight Blue Stickles).

I have used that stamp in SO many cards, click the links below to check some of them out.  Truly a fave in my stash because it is so flexible; stamp on paper, color with Copics or watercolors, make it cute, make it elegant – the possibilities with this stamp are endless!

April 2012 – You’re not going to believe this, but I used this same stamp for A Blog Named Hero’s very first challenge!!  As I pulled up this card I thought, what are the odds!?

May 2012 – A set in a simple but bold look with Distress Ink; thank goodness my skills have grown since then

September 2012 – Using Twinkling H20s, also combining these same 3 challenges for this card – hm, odd again

May 2013 – More Twinkling H20s, I just love this card

THANK YOU so much for your visit – hope you have a very Happy 4th of July with your family and friends!

ETA – a lovely reader suggested I add this to Moxie Fab World’s Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge, thank you!
