White + Black + Alcohol Ink

I cannot tell you how much fun I had with CASE Study #148 – oh wait, yes I can!  Here’s the inspo:

This was created digitally – how cool!  I don’t have digital stamps so I decided so take this and flip it:

Instead of having colored images on a white background, I did the opposite.  I took several Ranger Adirondack Alcohol Inks by Tim Holtz – Red Pepper, Lettuce, Aqua, Salmon, and Sunshine Yellow and inked up a sheet of glossy cardstock.  Then I took several various butterfly stamps and inked them up in StazOn – Cotton White.  LOVE how this experiment turned out!  A black sentiment would have been too harsh, so Hero Arts Soft Granite made a perfect choice.

But wait, there’s more!

How would this same card look if I had done the butterflies in a more traditional black?

Exact same ink colors, but black butterflies inked in Ranger Archival Jet Black.

So what do you think, which is your favorite??
