I was really inspired by Julie Ebersole’s card in The Classroom yesterday, and had to make a card. I am so digging the watercolors lately so it’s no surprise! Here’s her card:
Here’s mine:
I think the inspiration here is obvious! My first fall card, although not sure the weather agrees quite yet here in Knoxville. I started with a large background stamp by Impression Obsession, inked in a soft blue for ethereal clouds. I foam mounted in the same fashion, with a panel just for the watercoloring. I really liked her idea of using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Soft Granite – what a different look and so much softer than using the typical black. For the watercolor itself, I used Distress Inks in Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, Barn Door, Vintage Photo and Gathered Twigs. A couple splats of Mister Huey in Letter Jacket, some MME enamel dots, and some sky blue twine call it a day. Here’s a close up:
I don’t have that Wink of Stella pen everyone seems to be raving about, but a good ol’ Gelly Roll pen in Stardust does just fine to add just the tiniest hint of glam.
Thanks Julie for your inspiration, and thanks everyone for stopping by – have a great day!
