Be the Good

Funny how sometimes the simplest of sketches can inspire creativity.  Thank you CASE this sketch!

I was inspired by an Instagram image from Rhonna Ferrer, and although this took a long time it is still a clean design.  Here’s how I did it:  I masked off the diagonal section with washi tape and picked my 4 colors to stamp in Soft Cantaloupe (second generation), Fresh Peach, Soft Pool, and Gold (all Hero Arts).  I used a triangle from a HA/Studio Calico co-branded alphabet stamp set and just went to town.  Once I finished all the triangles, I peeled off the tape, mixed up some Winsor & Newton Designer’s Goache (prounounced like squash but with a ‘gw’ instead of ‘sq’, so ‘gwash’) in Jet Black with a touch of water and did the brush script.  I filled in the gold inked triangles with Platinum Stickles and that is what really made the difference.  A few scattered enamel dots finish the card.

Ironic how I didn’t notice this it at first but the challenge itself said to try some techniques because the sketch is simple.  I used masking, brush script, and second generation stamping on this card!

Thanks for the visit, before you go here’s a look at the close-up, tried to show the glitter better:

Oh, and happy February to all my friends!
