I’ve only made a couple Easter cards this year but this one’s my fave, inspo thanks to CASE this Sketch!
ETA: Thanks to Donna Mikasa for reminding me of the Ovals Challenge over at CASualFridays!
To make this card, I used the second smallest size oval from a Spellbinders die set and sent it through one at time until this pattern was created. I placed the top panel with the holes over the card base and traced the oval shapes with a light pencil. I took 9 colors of Distress Ink: Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Shaded Lilac, Milled Lavender, Antique Linen, Spun Sugar, Shabby Shutters, Dried Marigold, and Iced Spruce. Using an ink blending tool, I shaded the oval shapes in to look like eggs. I dropped a bit of Mister Hueys in Warm Calico to give them a speckled look. Hero Arts sentiment and some enamel dots to finish.
I am really happy with how this turned out, thanks for looking!
